Yes. Tournamnet Director for Windows will work on Windows 8. I'm not sure it. I would recommend using TDW on a device with a keyboard and mouse.

Tournament Director for Windows is software that helps you run and organise chess tournaments. It includes FIDE rating, Swiss pairing and full integration with ECF grading.

The Tournament Director is the premier poker tournament management software package.

There are a few reason this may happen:

• You have loaded Tournament Director for Windows on this machine before. Re-loading the trial version of the software will not extend the trial period, even if the previous trial was a long time ago.
• You changed your PC’s system clock after exiting the Tournament Director for Windows software the first time. This can sometimes trigger a premature end to the evaluation period.
• The trial period is for 14 days or 30 uses. If you use (start up) the software more than 30 times in those 14 days, the trial period ends.

Once a trial period has ended, only a valid license key will unlock the software.

License keys are registered to individual users or chess organisation and can be used by a single person. A single person may install the software on more than one machine for their personal use (e.g. a desktop and a laptop).

If you need to install Tournament Director for Windows on many machines to be used by many people you will need to buy a license for each person or purchased the Coordinator package.

Purchasing a license key entitles the buyer to the current version of the software, and any future versions of the software that are within the same major version.

The Tournament Director software version has 6 components, the major version, the minor version and the fix level. Version 6.3 of the software has a major version of 6, a minor version of 3, and a fix level. Therefore, the purchaser of a license key for version 6.0 would be entitled to use versions 6.3, 6.3.1, 6.4, 6.5, etc. An increase in major version may (or may not) incur an upgrade fee.

• The fix release is typically increased for a release that contains only fixes for outstanding bugs.
• The minor version is typically increased for a release that contains feature enhancements.
  
• The major version is typically increased for a release that contains significant new functionality.

The author reserves the right to increment the software version at any time for any reason.

First of all, make sure to check any Spam or Bulk email folders you might have. Your email system may have incorrectly identified the email containing the license key as spam.

Although delivery usually occurs within 24 hours, please allow up to 72 hours for delivery.

If you have not received your license key within 72 hours, you should contact me. If you contact me about not receiving your license key, and do not receive a response to your enquiry within 24 hours, then in all probability there is a problem with email delivery to the email address you have provided. In other words, I have most likely attempted to send your license key and to reply to your email, but the email I send is being returned. In this case, since I have no way to contact you please contact me, so that I can send the registration key to the correct email address.
