New, Open, Copy and Delete

These allow tournaments to be created, opened, copied, and deleted.

  • New (Ctrl+N)
  • Open... (Ctrl+O)
  • Copy...
  • Delete...

BCF Grading

The 'BCF Grading ...' menu option is only available when a tournament is open and the results have been entered for the last round. This button performs the same function as 'Submit for grading' button on the Tournament View.

Refresh players'

When a player is added to a tournament a copy of those player details are taken and stored for the player as a historical record on that player. If the players are updated the details of that player are not automatically updated. However then can be updated by using the Refresh menu option.

The refresh menu option refreshes some or all of the player details in the tournament from the local player list As follows:

  • Grades (BCF Grades and FIDE Rating)
  • Grades and clubs (as for Grades, plus the BCF Club, County, Union and Nation details)
  • All details

These options are very useful when players have been set up on a tournament and then the BCF or FIDE details for the player are loaded. These options are not available until a tournament is opened.

Remove

The following three options allow details to be removed from the tournament :

  • All players
  • All avoids
  • All byes

These options are not available until a tournament is opened.
