License Agreement
You should carefully read the following terms and conditions before using this
software. Your use of this software indicates your acceptance of this license agreement
and warranty.
Registered Version
One registered copy of Tournament Director for Windows may be used by a single person who uses the
software personally on one or more computers.
The registered version of Tournament Director for Windows may be used to administrate an unlimited
number of chess tournaments. No registered user, nor anyone else, may alter or modify the
Tournament Director for Windows files or documentation. You cannot give anyone else permission to
modify the software.
Bug Fixes & New Releases
For Registered versions:
- Bug fixes are provided free of charge.
- Minor updates releases are provided at minimum cost (e.g.: £10) to cover cost and time of
fixing, copying and distribution.
- Major releases will be charged at a commercial rate, depending on your current version
and package. A schedule of upgrade prices will be published with each major release.
Support for old versions will be phased out as new versions are released.
Disclaimer of Warranty
THIS SOFTWARE AND THE ACCOMPANYING FILES ARE SOLD "AS IS" AND WITHOUT
WARRANTIES AS TO PERFORMANCE OF MERCHANTABILITY OR ANY OTHER WARRANTIES WHETHER EXPRESSED
OR IMPLIED. In particular, there is no warranty for the accuracy of the opponent pairing
algorithm or performance grade calculations (There are too many Swiss pairing variations
developed by individual organisers to guarantee that Tournament Director for
Windows will satisfy all
organisers everywhere. Tournament Director for Windows developers have made reasonable efforts to
develop an accurate pairing algorithm based on common practice and president, and will
continue to make reasonable efforts to improve the algorithm). Because of the various
hardware and software environments into which Tournament Director for
Windows may be put, NO WARRANTY
OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS OFFERED.
Good data processing procedure dictates that any program be thoroughly tested with
non-critical data before relying on it. When ever using Tournament Director
for Windows to organise a
tournament it is recommended that the organise is able to revert to a manual process in
the unlikely case of a failure. The user must assume the entire risk of using the program.
ANY LIABILITY OF THE SELLER WILL BE LIMITED EXCLUSIVELY TO PRODUCT REPLACEMENT OR REFUND
OF PURCHASE PRICE.
Trial Version
This is not free software. Subject to these terms, you are hereby licensed to use this
software for evaluation purposes without charge for a period of 30 days (or 50 uses). If
you use this software after the 30 day evaluation period a registration fee is required.
When payment is received, you will be sent a registration key for your copy of the latest
version of Tournament Director for Windows.
Unregistered use of Tournament Director for Windows after the 30-day evaluation period is in
violation of UK and international copyright laws.
Distribution
You are specifically prohibited from charging, or requesting donations, for any copies
of Tournament Director for Windows and associated files and documentation, however made; and from
distributing the software and/or documentation with other products (commercial or
otherwise) without prior written permission.
Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales
