Full Release

The latest full release of Tournament Director for Windows is version 6

The main enhancements in this release are:

  • Introduction of the Master/Slave machine functionality.
  • Reorganisation of the database tables and fields.
  • Enhancements to allow Tournament Director for Windows to work on Windows Vista.
  • Introduction of new options for a number of the tournament prints.
  • Reorganise and renaming of some menu options to clarify their functionality.
  • Update system options.
  • Registration processing for Version 6 has been simplified.
  • Changes to the Tournament Director packages and their functionality.
  • The ability to set up services for the Internet Results Service

Fix Release

Fix release can be copied over the top of an existing full install of version 6 or later Tournament Director for Windows, to save you downloading and installing the full release.

This fix release contains the following fixes:

  • Fix some problems when submitting results for ECF Grading.
  • Fix for the FIDE Nations.
  • Fix for the import of the ECF Grading list and FIDE Rating list.
  • Fix for Bulk match facility when matching to the ECF Grading and FIDE Rating list.

Installation problems

There are some known difficulties when installing Tournament Director for Windows on a Windows 95 or Windows 98 machine. This is because certain components of Windows were not released until Windows ME, therefore they need to be installed (using standard Microsoft installation packages) before Tournament Director for Windows can be installed. Please see the details of the problems and the installation process for more information.
