Publishing Results
Results can only be published to this results service from Tournament Director for Windows.
Using Tournament Director for Windows allows you to automatically publish a tournament results' to this results service by the click of a button.
The results file is automatically created, transfered to this results service and then loaded so that the cross table is available on this results service.
The tournament cross table is then visible to anyone. Links to the results service can be published to provide easy access to your tournament results.
How to publish
To publish your tournament results to this service from Tournament Director for Windows is very simple:
- Enter the tournament details and results into Tournament Director for Windows.
- Click on the 'Publish Result to the Web' menu option.
- Wait for the system to transfer the file to the result service and load the results.
- Your web browser when then display a confirmation that the tournament has been loaded.
- The title of the tournament will act as a link to your tournament's cross table.
That's all there is to it.
Potential issues
To ensure that each of your sections on an tournament are listed under a single header, make sure that the Event Name is the same on
all the tournaments in Tournament Director for Windows before publish the result to the web.
Sometimes when you load a tournament to this results service it takes a while for your web browser to display the confirmation that
the tournament has been loaded. If it is not displayed, try re-publishing the tournament.
If you need to change the results of a tournament that has been published to the results service, you can just re-publish the tournament
and the details on the results service will be updated.
If you need to delete a tournament please contact me, and I will delete
the tournament from the results service.
Privacy
Before publishing any results to this results service you should have permission from the participants to publish the tournament results to the web.
The easiest way to do this is to incorporate a paragraph on the entry form that states 'It is a condition of entry to this tournament that the results
will be pubished on the internet.'
If an individual has been included on the results service, and wants to have their details remove, please contact me
and I will remove your personal details from this result service.

Tournament Director for Windows lets you

Chess Federations rules and regulations.
Tournament Director for Windows is a windows based chess tournament
software and is simple to use.
It allows you to:
- maintain a master list of players, including grading
information,
- load the ECF Grading or FIDE Rating list onto your master list,
- create and run tournaments,
- add players from the master list into tournaments,
- record players, pairings and results for the tournament,
- automatically produce swiss or round robin pairings,
- produce a multitude of reports from the master list and a
tournament including player lists and cross tables,
- view a history of all games played by a player in tournaments on
the system,
- submit results file to the ECF for grading,
